# Bracket-Mounted Venetian Blind

Bracket-mounted Venetian blind — the headrail connects to wall or ceiling with side carriers. Carrier count and flex control.

## The Arrangement Carrying the Load from the Sides

In the bracketed set-up the rail sits not directly on the surface but on metal carriers wrapping it from both sides. Whether the surface is wall or ceiling the division of labour does not change: the bracket carries the rail, the screw carries the bracket.

This separation is functional on a Venetian. When cleaning or mechanism maintenance is needed the mouths open and the rail comes down without touching a screw.

## Set-Up with Carriers

When the mouths are on the same line the rail seats in a single move.

1. **The point interval is divided** — The rail length is divided by the carrier count; the ends settle near the edges, the middle points at equal intervals.
2. **The carriers are screwed** — Each is fixed to its own plane. One sliding twists the rail and locks it.
3. **The rail seats into the mouths** — The headrail is passed into all mouths at once; when the covers close the lock sound is heard.
4. **The plane is tested** — The rail is probed with a level. A tilted seating leads the slat pack to run to one side.

## The Carrier-Count Rule

Width and slat weight decide the point count. Few points bow the rail.

Carrier distribution by rail width and slat type
Rail Length — Distribution — Note
Narrow window — Two ends — Standard distribution suffices
Middle size — Two ends + one middle — The mid-point cuts rail bowing
Wide opening — Evenly divided multi-point — The mid points divide the weight
Timber slat — Increased in every case — The 50 mm timber weighs the rail down

## The Mid-Point's Duty

On a long rail a free span remains between the two ends and the rail bows from the middle. The bowing is noticed from outside too: when the slats close, ends and middle do not stand on the same line.

The mid-point cuts this bowing. It is placed where it does not clash with the mechanism and the control line; its position is marked on the scheme arriving with the rail.

## Questions About Bracket-Mounted Venetian Blind

Do the carriers also turn to the ceiling?

They do. The same piece is connected to both wall and ceiling by turning its direction; the screw axis enters perpendicular to the surface.

Does the rail fall from the mouth?

A carrier whose cover is closed locks the rail mechanically. Separating it asks for the cover's deliberate opening.

Can the point count be raised later?

It can. The rail is taken down, a new carrier is screwed and the rail is reseated. The new points hold with plugs.

## Convey the Rail Length

Once the measurement is shared the carrier count and the distribution scheme are given.
