# Façade Zip Screen

Zip screen on a façade: the sun is cut before the glass with exterior shading; heat control and screen comfort on wide glass and storefront façades.

## Façade Zip Screen Analysis

The façade zip screen is an exterior shading system: the sun is cut on the exterior plane before it reaches the glass surface — it does the heat control the [interior blind](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/duette-blinds/) cannot. It is the most effective sun management on wide glass and storefront façades; the retracted cassette opens the façade completely.

### Before the Glass

The sun heat is cut on the exterior plane before entering inside; the most effective heat control.

### Wide Glass

It works in a single piece on large storefronts and façades; no intermediate support is needed.

### View

The screen fabric preserves the view from inside to outside; the inside is cut from outside.

### Open Mode

The retracted cassette opens the façade completely.

## Cutting the sun outside on the façade

The interior blind filters the sun after it has entered inside; the zip on the façade cuts the sun before the glass — the heat load never enters inside. This technical difference is the most effective heat control.

On wide glass and storefronts the side-channelled fabric works in a single piece; the screen variant preserves the view from inside.

When the cassette retracts the façade opens completely; the building look is preserved.
