# Glass Balcony Zip Screen

Zip screen on a glass balcony: side-channelled sun cutting applied outside the glazing or on the interior plane; combination use with the glass system.

## Glass Balcony Zip Screen Analysis

The glass balcony and the zip screen are not rivals but complements: the glass system cuts cold and rain, the zip cuts the sun and pests on the exterior façade. The zip fitted outside the glazing stops the sun before it reaches the glass line — it does the heat cutting that the [interior blind](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/pleated-blinds/) cannot. The combination gives full four-season protection.

### Cutting at the Glass Line

The sun is cut on the exterior façade before reaching the glass; interior heating is prevented.

### Combination

Glass cuts cold-rain, the zip cuts sun-pests; two systems give full four-season protection.

### Open Mode

The retracted zip cassette opens the edge; the glass balcony also works alone.

### Mounting

It is fixed to the outer line of the glass system or to the interior plane.

## The glass + zip partnership

The glass balcony cuts the weather condition but does not filter the sun; the zip cuts the sun at the glass line but does not insulate rain. Two systems together give full four-season protection.

The zip fitted on the exterior façade stops the sun before it reaches the glass — it does the heat cutting the interior blind cannot.

The retracted cassette opens the edge; the two systems work independently.
