The aluminium slat resists moisture and heat; wiping the kitchen grease off with a wet cloth is enough.

A slat is fitted instead of fabric on the glass above the sink and the cooker; a water splash is no problem.

## The Slats’ Job in the Kitchen

The kitchen blind’s first condition is cleanability: cooking vapour merges with dust and leaves a sticky film. Fabric absorbs this film, the aluminium slat does not — its surface is wiped, the job is done. This is why the kitchen is the venetian’s main ground.
