# Pleated Insect Screens for Homes

Pleated insect screens in homes: sliding or threshold-free on the balcony door, double leaf on wide openings — folding-mesh barrier.

## Homes Pages

In a home the pleated insect screen is a door product: on the balcony and terrace door the accordion mesh folds, keeping pests outside without disturbing passage. The threshold choice is critical — on heavy passage the [threshold-free](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/threshold-free-pleated-insect-screen/) (≤7 mm) works, on the standard the double-ramped rail works; on a wide opening the [double leaf](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/double-pleated-insect-screen/) meets in the middle. The case connection is chosen among the [mounting types](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/pleated-insect-screen-installation-types/) by the joinery.
