# Veranda Zip Screen

Zip screen on a veranda: wind-sun protection of the open edges; the right system for the open-air plane with the side-channel order.

## Veranda Zip Screen Analysis

The veranda is the natural field of the zip screen: it closes the open edge with side-channelled fabric — the wind is cut, the sun is filtered, the exterior-plane work is done that the [interior blind](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/duette-blinds/) cannot do. The interior blind wears out in open air; the zip is designed for this plane. On an open veranda the right product is this.

### Exterior Plane

On the open veranda edge the channel-locked fabric is stable in wind; it does the work the interior blind cannot.

### Wind

It is designed for the open-air condition; it does not sway like a slat.

### Sun

The veranda sun is cut on the exterior plane; the seating area stays shaded.

### Privacy

On the street-façade veranda the view from outside is cut.

## The exterior system of the open veranda

The open veranda is an outdoor space: the interior blind sways here in wind and wears out. The zip screen is designed for this plane — the side-channelled fabric is stable in wind and cuts the sun on the exterior plane.

On the street-façade veranda it also gives privacy; the screen fabric preserves the view from inside.

On an open area the right product is this — not an interior blind, an exterior façade system.
