# Vertical Honeycomb Blind

The core single-cell arrangement travelling up-and-down. The light-privacy balance the top-down opening brings.

## How Does the Vertical Single Cell Work?

The honeycomb line’s most classic operating form.

The single-cell panel descends from the top rail; control cords or a spring balance hold the panel at every height. It stays where released — works half, quarter or fully open.

In the top-down variant the panel also slides from its top edge: daylight is taken above while the lower glass stays private — the balance street-facing rooms look for.

Cell size is chosen in the 10–19 mm range: a small cell looks dense and fine-textured, a large cell sits fuller. Gathered, the single-layer build leaves a slim bundle.

## Standout Parts of the System

Top rail, vertical single-cell panel and cord arrangement are the system’s identity.

- Vertical Descent The single-cell panel travels top-down — the honeycomb form of classic blind behaviour.
- Cell-Size Choice Look and pocket density in the 10–19 mm cell range are chosen to the room.
- Top-Down/Bottom-Up On select models the blind opens from below too; daylight comes in while privacy holds.
- Slim Gather A bundle of a few centimetres up top; with the single layer the view barely splits.
- Made to Measure Exact production for standard and wide windows.

## Who Is the Vertical Honeycomb For?

Standard windows where light is wanted while privacy holds.

In a street-facing living or work room the top-down opening keeps the lower part closed; above eye level it opens to daylight.

On kitchen and corridor windows the single-layer panel runs light on frequent open-close; closed, the honeycomb pockets raise an air barrier on the glass line.

On sloped, ceiling or sliding openings the direction changes — move to the ceiling, sloped or horizontal variants. Where an extra insulation layer is wanted, the [vertical duette blind](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/vertical-duette-blind/) is described on a separate page.

## Frequently Asked

What is top-down?

The panel also slides down from its top edge; light comes in above while the bottom stays private.

What does cell size change?

In the 10–19 mm range a small cell looks dense and fine, a large cell gives a fuller texture; the choice is made to the window size.

Is it cordless?

Hand-positioned cordless is standard; a chain or motor is added on select models.

Can it fully darken?

Full darkness is given with blackout cell fabric; the standard fabric filters light.

The sliding-door and façade types where the vertical honeycomb arrangement mounts are listed in the [application areas](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/honeycomb-blind-application-areas/); its horizontally gathering sibling is described on the [horizontal model](https://www.fenetresystems.com/en/horizontal-honeycomb-blind/).
