FENETRE Systems — Insect Screen and Pleated Blind Systems

Insect Screen Application Areas

The openings where insect screens are fitted. Model selection by the joinery on windows, tilt windows, skylights, holiday homes and pet households.

Insect Screen Spaces

The insect screen is a barrier that keeps pests out without cutting the airflow. The model decision is given less by the window than by the opening direction of the joinery, the roller shutter and the removal work; these forms are separated in the insect screen installation types. The same window takes two models on two joineries. The list below holds the openings where insect screens are most often fitted and the model selection of each.

Selection Notes

Points That Decide the Insect Screen Application

Joinery Profile Sets the Measurement

The case depth of PVC, aluminium and timber joinery differs. The measurement is taken from the joinery seat, not the glazing.

Opening Direction Picks the Model

On an inward-opening sash the screen is fitted outside, on an outward-opening one inside. A screen fitted in reverse blocks the sash from opening.

Shutter Rail Needs Room

Where a roller shutter exists, the screen is made with a slim-profile model that fits the void inside the rail.

Colour Matches the Joinery

The profile colour is painted to the RAL code of the joinery. The look changes on white, anthracite and wood-grain joinery.

A Joinery Photo Is Enough

Once the opening photo and the sash size arrive the model and the mounting type are selected.
