Installation Types
Not the product family but the connection form. The mounting type fitting the joinery and the surface is compared family by family.
The Four Questions That Decide the Mounting
Once the blind or insect screen selection is finished the decision comes to the connection. The right mounting type decides the product's life, look and daily-use comfort. A wrong connection means a swaying housing, a peeling adhesive or a needlessly drilled joinery. Four questions solve the selection: what will it attach to, is drilling done, how often will it be removed, how many times a day will it be used.
The Surface Is Everything
The load a screw holds, an adhesive lifts or a bracket carries. All change by the material connected to. PVC joinery, aluminium profile, concrete wall and timber ceiling do not carry the same connection.
Drilled or Drill-Free
Adhesive, hooked and glazing-bead models mounted without touching the joinery leave no mark in rental homes. Screwed and bracketed connections, on the other hand, offer a permanence that does not move for years.
The Snap-Off Balance
A product to be removed for cleaning or moving and a product to stay in place for a lifetime do not ask for the same connection. Hook and clip give convenience, screw and bracket give permanence.
Usage Intensity
A balcony door opened dozens of times a day and a window insect screen removed twice a season ask for different connections. At heavy passage a screw, at sparse use a clip is enough.
Installation Types by Family
Each product family has its own connection architecture. The types' technical details are on the family's page.
Insect Screen Installation Types
Clip-on snap-off, screwed fixed, hinged and track-mounted connections. The joinery type decides the mounting.

The bracket logic of the roller family. Wall, ceiling or inside-frame applications.
ExploreConnection Types Quick Comparison
Each family's drilled and drill-free options, with the point to watch.
| Product Family | Drilled Connection | Drill-Free Connection | Critical Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Insect Screen | Screwed, hinged, track-mounted | Snap-off with clips | Recess fitting on joinery shuttered outside |
| Pleated Insect Screen | Screwed housing mounting | Threshold-free ≤7 mm track | Threshold profile by passage intensity |
| Pleated Blind | Screwed, bracketed | Adhesive, hooked, glazing-bead | Hooked on glass balcony, adhesive on insulated glazing |
| Honeycomb Blind | Screwed, bracketed | Adhesive, hooked, glazing-bead | The glazing-bead type reduces edge light leak |
| Duette Blind | Screwed, bracketed | Adhesive, hooked, glazing-bead | The double-layer weight asks for brackets on wide surfaces |
| Venetian Blind | Wall, ceiling, inside frame | — | On a recessed window the exact size cuts edge leakage |
| Zip Screen | Side channel + housing screwed | — | Outer façade. Concrete, aluminium or timber pergola |
| Curtain (Roller Family) | Wall, ceiling, inside frame | — | Bracket direction and chain side are chosen at order |
When the right connection cannot be confirmed the joinery photo is conveyed; the mounting type is settled together.
Pricing by Mounting Method
Once the window or door photo and its measurement are conveyed the mounting type and product suggestion are given.
