Curtain Installation Types
Curtain mounting is handled separately across eight products. Screwed, drill-free and project-specific connection; the window geometry and the room's need give the selection.
Mounting Across Eight Products
Each product's connection options are explained in a separate section. The card links to that section.
Roller Blind
Wall, ceiling, inside-frame and three drill-free options.
ExploreZebra Blind
The rail is screwed in two directions; adapter and clamp ask the model.
ExploreScreen Blind
Standard bracket; on the motorised rail the feed is planned.
ExploreVertical Blind
The track to the ceiling or to the wall with a stand-off leg.
ExploreBlackout Blind
The connection is inherited from the underlying system; the light closes at the edge.
ExploreRoman Blind
The upper mechanism is screwed; the gathering volume asks for room.
ExploreCeiling Blind
Glass roof and conservatory; only with a project survey.
ExploreMotorised Blind
The control form; the connection is asked of the underlying product.
ExploreRoller Blind Installation
The mechanism bracket is the same; the plane it connects to and the fitting form change.
Wall Mounting
ScrewedThe upper mechanism is screwed to the wall plane with two-end brackets. The recess overhang and the edge leakage are controlled at this position.
Ceiling Mounting
ScrewedThe brackets turn upward and the blind hangs from the ceiling. On a window having furniture or a radiator in front the fabric is brought forward.
Inside-Frame Mounting
ScrewedThe brackets sit on the window void's upper wall. Flush look; the edge share is deducted from the mechanism width.
Curtain-Rail Adapter
Drill-FreeA compatible adapter locks onto the existing curtain track. The rail section and the carrying capacity are verified at survey.
Sash Clamp
Drill-FreeFitted with a retainer gripping the opening sash's upper edge; the blind turns together with the sash.
Recess Pressure Rail
Drill-FreeA special top rail squeezes between the recess's two opposite walls. Parallelism and surface soundness are sought.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Roller Blind page.
Zebra Blind Installation
The rail weight grows with the double-layer fabric; the connection point is distributed accordingly.
Wall and Ceiling
ScrewedThe rail is screwed in both directions. The double-layer fabric's gathered weight decides the bracket interval.
Inside-Frame Mounting
ScrewedThe rail sits on the recess upper plane; a share is left in front of the rail for the layers' free passage.
Curtain-Rail Adapter
Drill-FreeThe adapter passes into the rail channel and the housing locks onto it. The track's own connections meet the load.
Sash Clamp
Drill-FreeIn the clamped arrangement the rail sits on the sash; on a tilt-and-turn sash the blind can stay lowered.
Recess Pressure Rail
Drill-FreeFlush position with a special pressure rail. Model compatibility and the weight limit are asked at survey.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Zebra Blind page.
Screen Blind Installation
The winding rail holds with a standard bracket; the sun-filtering job does not change the connection form.
Wall Mounting
ScrewedThe winding rail connects to the wall with two-end brackets. The sun-filtering fabric can also be positioned outside the recess.
Ceiling Mounting
ScrewedThe rail is screwed to the upper plane; on shopfronts and office façades the blind descends from the top.
Inside-Frame Mounting
ScrewedIn the flush position an edge tolerance is given so the fabric does not rub the recess edge.
Adapter and Clamp
Drill-FreeThe curtain-rail adapter and the sash clamp are verified by rail model; they do not fit every rail.
Motorised Rail
ProjectOn a motorised screen the connection stays the same; the feed line and the control are added to the mounting plan.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Screen Blind page.
Vertical Blind Installation
The vanes turn under the track; the track direction and the turning clearance decide the connection.
Ceiling Track
ScrewedThe carrier track is screwed directly to the ceiling; the vanes turn and slide under the track. The standard set-up of a wide opening.
Wall Stand-Off Leg
ScrewedA track fitted to the wall is brought forward of the wall for the vane turning; the distance is calculated from the vane width.
Inside-Frame Track
ScrewedThe track is taken to the recess upper plane; the clearance the vanes turn in must fit the recess depth.
Curtain-Rail Adapter
Drill-FreeA compatible adapter connects to the existing rail; the rail's carrying the vane and sliding load is verified.
Adhesive Special Rail
Drill-FreeA model with a special top rail bonding inside the recess exists; it is specific to that series, not the general product group.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Vertical Blind page.
Blackout Blind Installation
The mounting inherits the rule of the underlying system chosen; the real job finishes at edge leakage.
The Underlying System's Connection
ScrewedThe blackout fabric works on a roller, roman or vertical mechanism; the screws descend by that mechanism's rule.
Side-Guided Arrangement
ScrewedEdge light is closed with a side channel. The guides are screwed to the wall or the recess side faces.
Overhang-Shared Wall
ScrewedThe fabric is cut wider than the joinery; the top and side overhang share reduces the leakage.
Dual System Single Bracket
ScrewedThe sheer and the blackout layer are carried on parallel tubes with a single bracket; the two mechanisms' load is calculated together.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Blackout Blind page.
Roman Blind Installation
The gathering mechanism is carried from above; the folding pack's volume decides the position.
Wall and Ceiling
ScrewedThe gathering mechanism is screwed to the upper plane; the volume the folding fabric accumulates in asks for room above the window.
Inside-Frame Mounting
ScrewedThe mechanism sits on the recess top. The folding pack's gathered height must not clash with the glazing.
Recess Pressure Rail
Drill-FreeOn light and compatible models it is fitted with a pressure rail; the weight limit is asked from the model.
Adhesive Special System
Drill-FreeA surface-bonding mounting exists in the light arrangements the producer foresees; it is not carried to a wide roman blind.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Roman Blind page.
Ceiling Blind Installation
Standard blind rules do not pass here; the system is designed together with the carrier and the tension.
Connection to the Carrier Profile
ProjectOn a glass roof and conservatory the system connects to a beam or aluminium profile; the legs are chosen by the plane's slope.
Guide and Tension
ProjectOn a horizontal and sloped plane the fabric is stretched with a cord, track or spring mechanism. The logic of a plain hanging blind does not pass.
Motor and Maintenance Access
ProjectOperation is mostly motorised; the feed line and the service access are planned in the project.
Survey Obligation
ProjectWithout knowing the bay layout, carrier section and access the mounting type is not chosen. The measurement alone does not suffice.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Ceiling Blind page.
Motorised Blind Installation
The motor is a control form; the mechanical connection is asked of the underlying product.
Mechanical Connection
ScrewedThe motor is a control form; the connection follows the rule of the underlying product — roller, zebra, screen, vertical, roman or ceiling blind.
Mains-Fed
ProjectThe power line is drawn to the rail side; the cable outlet and the socket position are planned before the mounting.
Battery and Rechargeable Motor
ProjectAsks no feed line; the tubular motor works inside the rail and the charging access is preserved.
Commissioning
ProjectEnd points, remote pairing and sensor settings are part of the installation.
Product detail and fabric options are on the Motorised Blind page.
Three Bracket Directions
On roller, zebra, blackout and screen blinds the mechanism holds with the same bracket. What changes is the direction the bracket faces.
| Direction | Application | Ideal Case | Attention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wall | The brackets are screwed to the upper wall plane | Depth-less joinery, above-door gaps | The fabric overhangs the recess. A share is added to both sides |
| Ceiling | The bracket direction turns to the ceiling | Volumes occupied below, open above | The beam–cornice alignment is measured |
| Inside Frame | The brackets are fitted to the window recess's inner wall | Clean finish on a recessed frame | The leakage share is calculated from the recess depth |
Application Rules
Four practical points to know before mounting. From measuring to safety.
Recess Leakage Share
On roller and zebra blinds fitted inside the frame the fabric arrives a few cm narrower than the recess. The mechanism and cover share. In rooms wanting blackout, wall mounting and an overhang share are preferred to reduce this leakage.
Chain Side
Whether the chain will be on the right or left is specified at order. The cabinet edge, window handle and socket position decide the chain side. Reversing it after delivery asks for disassembling the mechanism.
Child-Safety Fitting
The hanging chain is kept taut with a retainer clipped to the wall. In homes with children and in school projects this fitting is fitted as standard. The chainless spring system offers an option.
Dual System Single Bracket
In dual systems where sheer + blackout — two blinds — work on parallel tubes, a single double bracket carries both mechanisms. The bracket interval is chosen by the double-load calculation.
The mechanism families and fabric types are handled on the Curtain Systems page; the venues the connection is applied to are gathered on the application areas page.
Questions About Curtain Mounting
Is a roller blind fitted to the wall or the ceiling?
Does light leak in inside-frame mounting?
Can I turn the blind to the ceiling later?
Specify the Window Type
Once the window measurement and the room layout are conveyed the bracket direction and the blind type are recommended.
