Ceiling Pleated Blind
The tension-wired form working on the horizontal plane. The shading system of glass roofs and winter gardens.
A Blind Working Against Gravity
On a vertical blind the fabric’s weight helps the system. On the ceiling gravity turns enemy. The fabric wants to leave the glass and sag. The ceiling pleated solves this problem with a tension-wire system.
Steel wires passing under the fabric hold it taut between two rails. The result: the blind works as a flat surface parallel to the glass even on the horizontal plane. A straight cover when open, a slim bunch in the headrail when closed.
How Does the Tensioning System Work?
Two steel wires pass through the fabric’s edges and are tensioned against each other. While the moving bar draws the fabric, the wires preserve the plane — the fabric loses its form neither when gathering upward nor when open.
On wide roof surfaces the system is split into sections. Each bay works independently with its own fabric and tensioning; the wanted zone is opened and closed separately.

Ceiling-Glass Scenarios
Three situations where the ceiling form is a must.
Winter-Garden Cover
Cuts the sun overhead on horizontal or lightly sloped glass roofs. Balances the indoor temperature.
Roof Window (Skylight)
Follows the glass on windows seated in the roof plane. Blackout fabric options available.
Glass-Ceilinged Spaces
Covers wide surfaces on verandas, showrooms and courtyard roofs with single or sectioned fabric.
Questions About the Ceiling Pleated Blind
Doesn’t the fabric sag on the ceiling?
How is a high ceiling reached?
Does it work on a sloped roof too?
Does it prevent heat build-up?
