The kitchen is the venetian’s strongest space: the aluminium slat resists steam, grease and heat — it wipes with a wet cloth and holds no odour like fabric. On the window above the sink and the cooker it enters the splash zone directly; a single wipeable surface is a technical advantage here. With the slat tilt the daylight is directed onto the counter and the interior stays invisible.
Wipeable Surface
The aluminium slat resists moisture and heat; wiping the kitchen grease off with a wet cloth is enough.

A slat is fitted instead of fabric on the glass above the sink and the cooker; a water splash is no problem.

The Slats’ Job in the Kitchen
The kitchen blind’s first condition is cleanability: cooking vapour merges with dust and leaves a sticky film. Fabric absorbs this film, the aluminium slat does not — its surface is wiped, the job is done. This is why the kitchen is the venetian’s main ground.
The slat tilt gives light management down to the millimetre: the sun falling on the counter is broken upward, the room stays bright, the view from outside is cut. One adjustment solves two jobs.
