Round Pleated Blind

A special form following the line of circular and arched frames. A radial answer from porthole to arch top.

Circular Forms

Three application styles from full circle to arch segment.

Production from Template

Four stages from measurement to mounting. The circular form’s work is precision.

  1. 01

    Diameter Taken

The circle’s diameter or arc measurement is taken on site. A cardboard template is drawn for non-symmetrical forms.

  2. 02

    Rail Bent

The aluminium rail profile is bent to the circle’s diameter. The edge line follows the joinery.

  3. 03

    Radial Cutting

The fabric is cut to the circle form. The pleats are arranged from the rim toward the centre.

  4. 04

    Seating Check

The rim seating is verified at mounting. No gap should remain at the circle’s edge.

Critical Points in Bending

  • The bent-rail tolerance is kept tight — the edge gap becomes visible
  • On porthole-type frames the frame depth decides the headrail choice
  • On old joinery the circle may not be fully symmetrical. Template required

Arch + Rectangle Combination

  • On arched windows the upper arc and lower rectangle are planned in one project
  • Both parts are produced from the same fabric chart — tone match is preserved
  • Even if the upper arc is fixed, the lower part stays fully functional

Questions About the Round Pleated Blind

How is a blind made for a round window?
The fabric is cut to the circle’s diameter. The rail is bent to the diameter. The result is a single-piece cover following the joinery line. No rectangular mould is used.
How does a semicircle top work?
On arched windows the circular upper section is covered fixed or moving. The rectangular part below keeps working independently.
Can it be produced without a cardboard template?
On simple full circles the diameter measurement is enough. On asymmetrical arcs and old joinery a cardboard template is a must.
How does the fabric gather inside the circle?
The pleats fold radially from the circle’s rim toward the centre. When open the fabric stands as a small bunch in the middle.

The windows where circle and circle-part forms mount are gathered in the special window group; a similar form answer is given on the oval system.

Quote for Diameter Measurement

Once the circle form and diameter are relayed, the bending and cutting plan is drawn up together.
