Ceiling Honeycomb Blind

Single-cell arrangement working on the horizontal glass surface. The light shade solution on the roof light.

How Does the Single Cell Work on a Ceiling?

The tensioning arrangement fighting gravity lightens with a single layer.

On the ceiling panel the honeycomb fabric sits parallel to the floor; gravity wants to pull it down. Tension cords running through both ends hold the panel on the plane — the system works under tension.

Single-layer fabric carries a critical advantage on the horizontal plane: less load lands on the panel, the tensioning strains less, and sag resistance is preserved on wide openings.

Roof glass is a space’s hottest spot: the summer sun strikes straight from above. The single-cell pockets meet the heat by holding air on the glass plane; the motorised variant removes the reach problem on high ceilings.

Standout Parts of the System

Tension cords, twin rails and the single-cell panel are the system’s identity.

  • Horizontal TensionThe single-cell panel works on the horizontal plane; tension cords hold it against gravity.
  • Lightweight Horizontal PanelSingle-layer fabric puts little load on the tensioning on the horizontal plane; sag resistance comes from the fabric’s lightness.
  • Honeycomb-Pocket CeilingOn the roof-glass plane the single-cell pockets hold air; the sun is met at the glass.
  • Motorised OptionAt unreachable height the motor drive runs at a single touch.
  • Made to MeasureMeasured production for roof windows and winter-garden glass.

Who Is the Ceiling Honeycomb For?

Places wanting shade and a light solution on overhead glass.

On a roof window the single-cell panel meets the summer sun at the glass plane; in the sheer option daylight enters filtered.

On the winter-garden ceiling module-based mounting manages each glass bay separately; the single layer does not strain the tensioning even on wide ceilings.

Where an extra insulation layer is wanted on the ceiling line in winter, the ceiling duette blind is described on a separate page; on vertical wall windows the ceiling arrangement is unneeded.

Frequently Asked

Does the ceiling panel sag?
Tension cords hold the panel on the plane; the single layer’s lightness is a natural advantage against sag on the horizontal plane.
Is electricity needed?
The manual version works with an extension rod; on the motorised version a rechargeable or wired motor is chosen.
Does the winter garden cover the whole ceiling?
A separate panel mounts to each glass module; the ceiling is solved module-by-module, not as one fabric.
Does it cut sunlight?
Near-total cut with blackout fabric, filtering with sheer fabric.
