Sloped Honeycomb Blind

Single-cell honeycomb on the sloped glass plane. The light panel does not strain the rail even on long slopes.

How Does the Single Cell Work on a Slope?

The rail beats gravity’s angle; the single layer stays light on the sloped line.

On sloped glass the panel cannot work vertically; gravity would hang it off the plane. Side rails hold the single-cell honeycomb to the angular plane — the system slides along the slope.

Single-layer fabric leaves low load on the rails and tension cords; on long roof slopes and frequently opened planes the mechanism runs easily.

The panel inside the rail holds position on the slope; tension cords prevent sagging, and the honeycomb pockets keep up the air barrier along the plane.

Standout Parts of the System

Slope rail, tensioning and single-cell panel are the system’s identity.

  • Rail GripOn the sloped plane the single-cell panel grips the side rails; no sagging.
  • Light Sloped PanelSingle-layer fabric leaves low load on rail and tension; runs easily on long slopes.
  • Angular PocketOn the slope the honeycomb pockets keep up the air barrier.
  • Angle-SpecificSlope angle and size measured to produce.

Who Is the Sloped Honeycomb For?

Places wanting a light, practical cover on sloped glass.

On the attic’s sloped window the single-cell railed arrangement solves the cover; a vertical blind sags while the honeycomb panel stays flush to the plane.

On the stairwell’s sloped glass the railed panel follows the angle; the light fabric does not strain the mechanism on long slopes.

If a double buffer is wanted on the roof line where heat loss is critical, the sloped duette blind is described on a separate page; on fully vertical windows the sloped system is unnecessary.

Frequently Asked

Does the sloped panel sag?
Side rails and tension cords hold the plane; the single layer’s lightness is an added advantage on slopes.
How is the angle measured?
The slope degree and glass size are measured; the rail angle goes into production.
Can it be motorised?
On hard-to-reach sloped glass the motorised variant runs at a single touch.
Does it stay fully open?
Inside the rail the panel holds at any position; partial coverage is possible too.

This page is the system’s mechanism, configuration and mounting; the honeycomb-or-duette decision on a sloped window is compared in the application decision guide. The attic scenarios where the slope rail works are detailed in the attic application; the fully horizontal plane is solved on the ceiling system.
