Office Pleated Blind
Pleated blind in the office. Glazed-partition privacy, meeting-room closure and screen-glare control in open offices. Fits multi-unit corporate projects.
Office Analysis
The modern office’s glazed partition walls preserve brightness but remove privacy. The meeting room and the executive room want instant closure. The pleated blind is mounted on-joinery onto the glazed partition surface. When fully closed it builds privacy, when open it returns the glass’s openness. On open-office windows it also cuts screen glare.
Glazed-Partition Privacy
In glass-walled offices the blind is fitted onto the joinery or the frame. During meetings the sightline is cut with full closure.
Instant Meeting Closure
If a guest or a confidential talk is needed the blind closes within seconds. No reservation or room change is required.
Open-Office Glare
On desks at the window line, the sun hitting the desk is cut by the blind’s band position. The rest of the office stays bright.
Corporate Look
A consistent façade language is built with the same fabric and profile colour on all partitions. The brand’s office standard remains.
Managing the Glazed Partition and the Façade Blind Together in the Office
The office blind need is lived on two planes. Exterior façade windows and interior glazed partitions. On the façade the aim is to manage screen glare and privacy without cutting daylight. On the partition it is to provide an instant view break between the meeting room and the open office. Since the pleated blind works with the same unit family on both planes, the whole floor looks consistent with a single system.
On glazed partitions the glazing-bead mounting sits on the partition profile. The plasterboard or aluminium case is not drilled; businesses in tenant position can unmount and take it along at vacating. During meetings a fully closing pleated blind is taken instead of a slatted venetian. The venetian’s slat gaps do not cut the view from close distance; the pleated fabric builds an uninterrupted surface.
On the façade side the floor plan chooses the unit distribution. In the open office each work group at the window line manages its own unit. A sunscreen assignment on the south façade and a semi-transparent fabric assignment on the north façade gives different performance in the same look. This mapping is more functional than projects imposing a single fabric type.
In rented offices, removability is a cost line. On-joinery connections come off without a mark and at the moment of vacating the partition returns to its old state. Screwed rail systems on the wall leave plug holes and paint repair when removed. They produce an invisible expense in the tenant’s budget.
The meeting-room blind’s open-close tempo is high. The contactless push mechanism works smoothly tens of times a day. The unit also looking tidy from outside on the partition glass preserves the office’s corridor aesthetics. Both faces of the fabric read single colour.
In the open office, screen glare directly affects work efficiency. The monitor’s position relative to the window is fixed in the floor plan and each desk group’s shading need differs. The units being managed separately zone by zone fits the real office order better than systems opening and closing from a single centre.
In presentation and training rooms the projector use wants blackout. Room darkening is needed for the image to be readable. The blackout-fabric unit lowers fully during the meeting and stays open in daily use. The same room carries two functions with a single system.
The office façade’s direction chooses the work order. The south and west façades carry the afternoon sun load. Meeting rooms on these façades are equipped with the blackout series, open-office areas with the semi-transparent series. The façade map is the first column of the unit list.
In the open office the per-capita window share is low. As desk rows move away from the window the daylight need grows. The pleated unit closes the glare zone with the bottom band and keeps giving light from the top. Controlled brightness remains instead of a dark office.
The air-conditioning vent landing on top of the window is the offices’ technical issue. The unit in the blowing line must not take wind. The vent direction and the unit line are separated so they do not clash in the mounting plan. This order is run together with the mechanical project.
On official holidays and annual-leave periods the office units are left closed. The fabric’s UV life is preserved, the interior fully closes from the street. On return the units open and the rail channel is built with a one-off brush cleaning.
Application Notes
Mounting & Selection for Office
Multi-Unit Project
The same unit is made for tens of glazed partitions and windows per floor. In project orders, production runs over the measurement table.
On-Partition Mounting
On glazed partitions the connection is made onto the aluminium frame or the joinery surface. The partition type is confirmed before mounting.
Motorised Group Control
On long glazed-partition lines a motorised scenario moves all blinds with a single command.
