Vertical Zip Screen
The standard form for façade, pergola and terrace edges. The fabric is zip-locked on two side rails and travels top-down.
The System’s Four Parts
In the vertical form the fabric descends from above and locks on two side rails.
- Top CassetteThe enclosed aluminium unit carrying the motorised roller tube. The fabric stays protected inside while gathered.
- Zip GuideSide rails housing the fabric’s two edges. The fabric travels locked in the channel — wind cannot pull it out.
- Technical FabricPVC-coated screen over glass fibre. The chosen openness factor sets light, view and privacy.
- Bottom BarThe weighted profile keeping the fabric taut. On closing it seats flush to the sill or floor.
Control Types
The same system runs on three power options. Supply and frequency of use make the choice.
| Control | Operation | Suited Use |
|---|---|---|
| Motorised | Travels up and down by remote or smart system | Standard application; sensors can be added |
| Solar Motorised | Panel battery — no supply line needed | On façades and pergolas where power cannot be drawn |
| Manual Crank | Vertical travel by crank handle | Small sections with no power infrastructure |
Standout Features
What the zip lock means outdoors.
- Wind ResistanceThe zip edge is locked in the rail — the billowing a free roller suffers never happens in this system.
- Insect-Screen DutyFabric edges descend sealed; the lowered blind raises a barrier against insect entry.
- Heat Before the GlassThe solar load is met on the outer surface; heat entering the interior falls noticeably.
- View PreservedOpenness-rated screen shows the outside from within while cutting the view from outside.

The balcony and façade types where the vertical zip arrangement mounts are listed in the application areas; its horizontal-closing sibling is described on the horizontal system.
Let Us Choose the Section and Motor
Once the opening measurement and wind direction are relayed, a system size and motor type are recommended.
