Bathroom & WC Pleated Blind
Pleated blind in the bathroom and WC. Moisture-resistant fabric and aluminium rail, privacy plus ventilation and compatibility with small windows.
Bathroom & WC Analysis
The bathroom window is the home’s most humid surface. Constant steam and the need not to be seen from outside define the blind. The pleated blind’s moisture-series fabric and stainless hardware survive this environment. With bottom-up opening the eye level stays closed while the top band keeps bringing light and ventilation.
Moisture-Resistant Fabric
The moisture-series pleated fabric holds its form in steam. The aluminium rail is finished with stainless hardware.
Privacy Plus Ventilation
With the top band open, light and ventilation continue while the eye level stays closed. It opens fully for airing when needed.
Small-Window Fit
The low gathering height occupies no space above the small bathroom case and the window keeps its ventilation function.
Wall-Free Mounting
The glazing-bead or hook connection carries no tile-breaking risk. In a wet volume, wall drilling is avoided anyway.
Moisture and Privacy on the Bathroom & WC Window
The bathroom window carries two fixed conditions. Constant steam production and the need not to be seen from outside. The moisture condition narrows the material selection. Wooden and fabric venetians cannot survive this environment. The pleated blind’s moisture-series fabric is produced resistant to steam. The slatted-rail mechanism is finished with stainless hardware.
On the privacy side the bathroom has its typical architecture. The window is mostly right above the shower or the bathtub, at eye level and above. The bottom-up pleated blind suits this geometry. While the top band stays open for light, the eye level is always closed. Its advantage over a frosted-film application on the glass is that it can open fully and allow ventilation when needed.
On the joinery close to the shower head the fabric must not take direct water. This distance is checked during measurement. If needed the blind is built on the wall plane. On small-sized bathroom cases, the low gathering height of the pleated unit occupies no space above the case and the window loses no ventilation function.
In most plans the bathroom window arrives with frosted or patterned glass. This solution gives fixed privacy but kills the outside view completely. The pleated blind is not a layer added onto frosted glass but a control replacing the glass. An open position with sky and light, a closed position with full privacy — both on the same joinery.
Condensation drops running into the case are the bathroom’s known issue. To keep the fabric away from the glass, the rail depth is taken at measurement. Weekly damp-cloth cleaning prevents limescale and soap build-up on the fabric. No detergent cloth is used in the bathroom.
In plans with a ceiling-lit bathroom instead of a windowed one, no blind need arises. But in plans with a small ventilation pane above the shower cabin the same moisture condition applies and the small unit is produced with the same logic.
For users in tenant position the glazing-bead connection is critical. The joinery is not drilled, no mark remains at removal and the deposit return is unaffected. In a wet volume like the bathroom, wall drilling already carries a tile-breaking risk. Drill-free mounting is both a technical and a legal advantage here.
The blind also joins the bathroom’s cleaning routine. The fabric and rail surface wiped with a damp cloth joins the post-shower routine. No chemical cleaner is used. The unit is removed with a single moving connection and is separable for deep cleaning.
Interior positions also create privacy issues. On bathroom glass facing an inner courtyard, close to the neighbouring block or above a corridor hall, a permanently closed band is the only solution. The opaque series passes light but gives no image. The bathroom’s natural light remains.
Steam density increases in winter. As the outside temperature drops, the glass interior surface holds drops longer. The moisture-series fabric holds its form in this period too. The mechanism running a few mm off the glass does not touch condensation water constantly.
Compared with the frosted-glass film alternative, the pleated blind’s difference is that it can open. Film gives fixed privacy but also permanently cuts the sky and daylight. In the open position the unit fully returns the bathroom’s natural brightness.
Application Notes
Mounting & Selection for Bathroom & WC
Moisture Condition
If direct water splash reaches the sash next to the shower head, a different solution may be needed; the distance is checked at measurement.
No Wall Drilling
In a wet volume, drilling the wall carries tile-breaking risk. On-joinery connections are taken for the bathroom.
Cleaning
Weekly wiping with a damp cloth prevents limescale and soap build-up on the fabric. No detergent cloth is used in the bathroom.

The Moisture Condition Is Decisive
Once the window’s distance to the shower and the case measurement are learned, the connection type is taken with the moisture-series fabric.
