Villa Pleated Blind
Pleated blinds in the villa. A consistent look on high-ceilinged and wide windows, privacy on garden façades. The order is built façade by façade.
Villa Analysis
Villa façades, unlike an apartment, open to the garden and the street in many directions. Privacy is reviewed separately on each façade. The pleated blind adapts to the villa windows’ varying measurements and forms with on-joinery mounting. In multi-façade living rooms and bedrooms every opening carries the same visual language.
Multi-Façade Privacy
On different façades facing the garden and the street, privacy is set façade by façade with the blind’s band position.
Wide-Opening Order
In the villa living rooms’ wide window groups, the gathering depth of the side-by-side units stays equal. The façade reads as a single line.
Garden Connection
On the door and window opening to the garden, the blind separates the interior from outside eyes while preserving daylight.
Attic Combination
On the villas’ attic windows, tensioned pleated systems continue the same fabric family as the ground-floor blinds.
Unit Distribution and Façade Setup in Villa Projects
The basic difference separating the villa application from an apartment is scale and variety. A joinery count varying between twelve and twenty-five, different façade directions on different floors and generally non-standard openings. In this structure the blind decision is provided not room by room but over the façade plan. Each façade’s sun hour is taken separately. The fabric assignment is made accordingly.
On wide sliding and floor-to-ceiling joinery a single unit’s weight and gathering height push the limit. The opening is divided into two or three units. The middle section is made the daily-use centre with two-way opening. The motorised control option provides adjustment without a ladder on upper-floor and hard-to-reach high joinery. It can also run as a group with the same remote.
If on-joinery mounting is planned at the construction stage, the case measurements are taken from the joinery manufacturer. On-site measurement finishes before delivery and the units are fitted in one session on mounting day. In renovation projects the joinery type changes brand by brand. Each case type wants its own connection hardware.
The villa’s room-by-room need map is more complex than the residential scale. Blackout in the parents’ bedroom, cordless control in the children’s room, two-way opening in the living room and a tensioned rail system in the attic exist in the same project. The unit table is drawn floor by floor. Each unit’s fabric, control and mounting type is kept in a single document.
The exterior look is also considered at villa scale. On the window facing the street side, the fabric’s outer face colour is kept compatible with the façade. The unit profiles line up at the same position. This order preserves the architectural integrity in the house’s exterior image.
Stairwell and gallery windows sit at a high level. On this joinery where manual control is impractical, the motorised unit is operated from the remote. With the same scenario button the gallery windows open and close as a group. The morning and evening routine drops to a single command. The units on the lower line are controlled by hand and two control types can work together on the same façade.
In the project file each unit’s room, fabric, control and mounting type is numbered. The mounting team works with this table and no wrong unit is fitted inside a room. The typical mounting duration in a villa is a single day. In large projects it spreads to two days.
The villa’s second-floor façades carry different conditions than the ground floor. Blackout on the bedroom floor and sloped mounting in the attic are solved within the same project. Each floor’s usage plan chooses the fabric series and the unit list is separated floor by floor.
On the garden and pool façade the blind’s exterior look is part of the architectural integrity. Keeping the closed-position units at the same level preserves the villa’s façade order. On units facing the façade the rail colour matches the joinery colour.
The villa’s detached position builds privacy differently. The view from inside the garden is limited but on the street and walkway façades the ground-floor eye level is closed. On the garden façade the unit is kept open by day and the inside-outside integrity remains.
Application Notes
Mounting & Selection for Villa
Façade-by-Façade Plan
Each façade’s sun hour differs. The fabric group is taken by the façade direction.
Remote Reach
On high and hard-to-reach windows a motorised pleated blind provides scenario control.
One-by-One Measurement
Villa joineries carry non-standard measurements. Every opening is measured separately and produced unit by unit.
