Living Room Honeycomb Blind

Honeycomb blind in the living room: diffuse light and cell insulation on wide glass. Seating comfort, TV-glare cut and winter warmth provided.

Living Room Analysis

The living room is honeycomb’s strongest space: the wide glass façade carries both a visual and a thermal load. The cell air keeps the heat in the room in winter and outside in summer; the filtered light falls diffuse onto the seating group. TV and screen glare is cut with the opaque variant — the living room is the space where the blind’s technical and aesthetic work is wanted together.

Thermal Comfort

On wide glass the cell air builds the largest heat buffer; the gain is seen most on the window above the radiator.

Diffuse Brightness

The light falling on the seating group is filtered through two membranes; even brightness forms instead of harsh shadow.

Screen Glare

On the window opposite the TV, the opaque or semi-blackout variant cuts the daytime reflection.

Compact When Gathered

The fabric forms a thin bundle at the top; on a view façade the blind nearly disappears when open.

The Living-Room Glass’s Two Jobs at Once

The living-room blind must do two competing jobs at the same time: let daylight in but not disturb the comfort. Honeycomb solves this balance with the fabric section — the air inside the cell both filters the light diffusely and slows the heat exchange at the glass.

In multi-window living rooms the single-type cell look builds an architectural order; even with the blind closed on the large glass, the façade stays legible. On sloped or wide openings the same fabric can be carried with different mountings.

In the cinema corner wanting darkness the opaque variant, on the façade where the view is the priority the light-filtering variant is chosen; the decision is given by the window, not the room.

Application Notes

Mounting & Selection for Living Room

Variant per Façade

On the south façade opaque, on the north light-filtering fabric is chosen; a single decision is not applied to the whole room.

TV Line

The opaque variant to the window opposite the screen; light-filtering can remain on the side windows.

Large Glass

On the wide opening a double-railed or split body works; the single-piece limit depends on the rail system.

Cordless

In the living room’s passage area a hanging cord is unwanted for both look and safety.
