Holds inside the frame with screws or clips. On shuttered windows the frame is planned to enter the gap behind the rail.
The corner wedge and cord-fixing mechanism suit mass production — installation time and component cost drop.
- The clear width and height of the opening are recorded in centimetres.
- The depth of the frame recess is measured; where a shutter exists, the rail-to-frame distance is added.
- The working direction and the edge the sash gathers to are noted.
Around 18 mm of gap between the shutter and the frame is enough for this series. Where it is narrower, the 15 mm series is considered.
Born to solve the shutter problem
As shutter systems renewed, the rail moved closer to the frame surface — and the classic screen frame began to clash with the rail. The 18 mm frame profile was drawn for exactly that distance.
The result: on shuttered windows there is no longer a need to give up on a screen. A frame that fits the gap does not hinder the shutter’s operation either.
Component structure
The mesh comes in polyester at a 15 mm pleat height. The taped strip that joins the mesh to the profile, the corner wedge, the tension cord and the eyelets all work as one system.
On closing, a brush seal and a magnetic seal come into play. The panel is pushed by hand and holds at any position — there is no pullback spring or winding drum.
Knowing its limits
The slim series is strong on windows but limited at larger sizes. Manufacturers’ shared note is clear: the 18 mm system is not recommended on wide openings and tall sashes.
On balcony doors, verandas and wide facades the 25 mm-plus series take over. The right series is decided by the measurement — not by guessing.
