Hotel Honeycomb Blind
Honeycomb blind in the hotel: room blackout, corridor and common-area diffuse light; the room standard is built floor by floor with the insulation return.
Hotel Analysis
In the hotel the blind is part of the room standard: the guest wants real darkness at night, the common area wants diffuse light by day. With its blackout variant honeycomb carries the room sleep standard; in the corridor, lobby and meeting hall the light-filtering variant gives façade comfort. In the multi-room project the single-type cell look builds order on the floor.
Room Blackout
The blackout cell fabric cuts street-light and early sun; the guest’s sleep is preserved.
Common Area
On the lobby and corridor glazing the light-filtering variant gives diffuse brightness.
Floor Order
A single-type cell look across many rooms on the same floor; façade integrity is preserved.
Insulation
The heat loss at the room glass is braked in the cell; energy cost and comfort are gained together.
The Hotel Blind’s Two Standards
In the hotel room the blind is a sleep guarantee: the blackout variant cuts the light structurally, the guest is unaffected by time difference and street-light. In the common area, on the contrary, diffuse light is wanted — honeycomb carries both variants in the same cell language.
The floor façade look is the brand standard; in the multi-room project the single-type fabric colour and cell size give a legible façade from outside.
In the maintenance operation the cordless order reduces the failure point; the fabric suits the dry-cleaning routine.
