The transparent and dim-out layers are built onto the same profile to measure. The ready-to-fit dual set is delivered in protective packaging.

The dim-out layer is not blackout; it does not cut the light fully but breaks its intensity seriously. When closed the room falls to dimness, the silhouette is invisible; it engages at hours when glare bothers the screen or the eye.

The white sheer layer keeps the day bright. Three light levels are thus obtained at one window: open glass, filtered brightness, dim ambience.

The combination is for rooms that do not require full darkness but where the plain sheer is not enough either. It sits in spaces carrying a work-by-day, rest-by-evening rhythm.

The dim-out layer's limit and strength

Dim-out fabric drops the light transmittance dramatically but does not zero it. When closed by day the room carries a twilight feel; this feel is not projection darkness but working-and-resting dimness.

In the evening hours the layer's real work is seen: the opposite building's light, the street lamp, the early-morning brightness do not leak in. Privacy is fully provided; the silhouette inside is not read from outside.

When full darkness is needed this layer is not enough — in that scenario the full-blackout class engages. Dim-out is a deliberate middle way; cheaper and more comfortable in daytime use.

The three-position day order

Morning: both layers up, the glass open. Noon: the white sheer lowers, the brightness softens, the view stays. Evening: the dim-out lowers, the room dims and closes to the outside.

This cycle is especially valuable in multi-purpose rooms. A space that is a study room by day turns into a TV or resting area in the evening; the blind meets both rhythms with one system.

The white sheer's contribution is in the day slice: if the dim-out is kept closed by day the room darkens unnecessarily; the sheer layer prevents this, keeping the space in liveable brightness.

To whom, to which room

The common complaint of home workers is screen glare. The dim-out layer saves the screen at hours when the sun strikes directly; the white sheer keeps the glass looking open for the rest of the day.

In the living room and sitting room this combination suffices all year. It also works in the bedroom but for sleepers with high light sensitivity the blackout version would be more correct.

As a texture dim-out is denser than plain pleated fabric; its weave is tight, its surface matte. When the two layers are gathered together the total bundle is still thin.

Questions About Semi-Blackout + White Sheer Dual Pleated Blind

What is the difference between dim-out and blackout?
Dim-out breaks light seriously but passes it; blackout cuts light fully with its foil layer. In this model with dim-out on the night layer the room dims, does not darken.
When the dim-out layer is open by day, is the sheer on top?
Yes — the layers are independent. The dim-out can be gathered up and the sheer layer lowered; if wanted both can stop halfway.
Is the silhouette visible from outside?
If only the sheer layer is down while the light is on inside, the silhouette may be read indistinctly. While the dim-out layer is down, no silhouette reaches outside.
Does it also cut heat on hot days?
Dim-out partially reduces the sun's direct heat but it is not produced for insulation. In a situation targeting glazing loss the honeycomb-layered version is examined.
What does bead mounting gain?
The layers sit on the glazing bead; the light leaking from the edge gaps decreases markedly compared to inside-recess mounting. As the glass sash opens and closes, the blind moves with the sash.
